GPSR notes and important information
Our gold plating service meets the highest quality standards and complies with the requirements of the EU's General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) . Below you will find detailed information on the materials used, processing steps, and legal notices.
1. Properties of gilding
Process: Galvanic gold plating using gold plating baths
• Hard gold plating: Our electroplated gold plating is carried out using a long-lasting hard gold plating that guarantees abrasion resistance.
• Palladium underlayer: Jewelry made of silver, brass, and copper is treated with a palladium layer to prevent diffusion processes.
• Adhesive gold and colored gold plating: Stainless steel jewelry pieces first receive an adhesive gold plating, followed by a hard gold and colored gold plating (e.g. yellow gold, rose gold).
• Silver jewelry: pretreatment with palladium as a diffusion barrier.
• Stainless steel jewelry: adhesive gold plating, followed by hard gold and colored gold plating.
• Other metals (brass, copper etc.): including a copper base and subsequent palladium plating
• Polish: Polishing is included as standard with all gold plating. Upon request, elaborate restorations are available for an additional charge.
• Cleaning: Jewelry is thoroughly cleaned before gold plating to ensure optimal results.
• Color selection: Available in yellow gold, rose gold, as indicated
• Layer thicknesses: Standard 3 µm or 5 µm, depending on selection and intended use.
2. Material restrictions
• Suitable base materials: silver, stainless steel, brass, copper, bronze, gold, platinum, palladium
• Not suitable for: tin, zinc, titanium, porous materials such as wood, ceramic, plastic or surfaces that are already heavily corroded or damaged.
3. Care instructions
• Cleaning: Clean with a soft, dry cloth. Use lukewarm water and mild soap if necessary.
• Avoidance: Avoid contact with chemicals, sharp objects, or abrasive surfaces. Jewelry should be stored separately from other items to prevent scratches.

4. Safety and price information
• Allergies: Despite the gold plating, allergic reactions can occur, especially if your supplied base material contains nickel.
• Not for children: Not suitable for children under 3 years – danger of suffocation or swallowing.
• Standard sizes: The prices indicated apply to jewelry in the specified sizes,
• Oversized: Larger pieces of jewelry than the available option will be charged additionally if necessary (in this case we will inform you in advance)
• Additional services: Repairs, disassembly and assembly if necessary for an additional charge
5. Warranty and Liability
• Warranty conditions can be found under the "Warranty" tab of the respective product
• Exceptions: Damage caused by chemical exposure, improper care or normal wear and tear is excluded from the guarantee.
