Warranty – what is covered?

Scope of warranty (short version)

  • 3 µm (stainless steel/precious metal): 12 months on the coating
  • 5 µm (stainless steel/precious metal): 24 months on the coating
  • Unexpected, material/process-related detachments or defects in the gold plating are covered.

Excluded (material-related)

  • Non-ferrous metal/costume jewelry (brass/copper/bronze/unknown) – no guarantee
  • PVD/paint on customer side: post-processing difficult, no guarantee
  • heavily corroded or improperly repaired base bodies

What is not covered?

  • Normal signs of wear , abrasion due to friction/impact/chemicals
  • Damage caused by accidents , impact/bending/dropping, modifications
  • Failure to follow care instructions

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the warranty also apply to daily wear?
Yes – the warranty covers professional coating. Normal wear and tear (friction, impact, chemicals) is excluded. For heavily used pieces we recommend 5 µm and LAFFARTS Care .
Why are non-ferrous metals excluded?
Brass/copper/bronze react differently (diffusion/corrosion). Due to the materials, a resilient and long-term bond cannot be ensured to the same extent.
How do I submit a piece?
After a brief review, we'll let you know the shipping and delivery time frame. Valuable goods up to €3,000 can be added during checkout. Alternatively, you can drop off the items yourself.
